This booklet is the core ruleset for entering the world between worlds. Avalux aims to be the middle earth between purely boffer combat and roleplay only larps. A turn-based action scenario determines the events enacted at the next meetup. When you fight, you fight for a cause and the outcome determines the developing story.

Experienced larpers will find the full contact combat familiar and uniquely refined. Weapons and armor specs are based on “light core” boffer standards and look-the-part quality construction. New players will be able to pick up a copy of the field guide and start playing with friends right away.

Avalux is a newly emerging larp from the Pacific Northwest. More books are in store for the series – expanding on the roles of the four guilds, adding lore, and dropping new quest series to keep you entertained. The writers have created an intriguing world scenario where technology is consumed by dragons and rising to power is sure to bring about your demise. Explore mysterious lands, face challenges, create fantastical items, and build what you can as you politic or strongarm your way to your goals.

June 13-14, we will be hosting a fundraiser larp for the Washington Shakespeare Company at their Faire du Well event in Mount Vernon. Coming straight from the pages of the Bard, we take on one of the great plays of history and let the players take the lead.
